Zoran Popović New Head Coach of FK IMT
Football Club IMT is informing the public that the new head coach of the first team is Zoran Popović. The experienced Serbian coach has signed a contract with the club and taken charge of the squad at the start of preparations for the 2026/27 season.
Popović (61) returns to Serbian football after more than a decade working abroad. In Serbia he previously coached Čukarički, while outside the country he was in charge of Maltese clubs Floriana and Valletta, as well as several clubs in the Middle East, where he spent most of his coaching career.
ASSISTANT PAVLE NINKOV
Popović's first assistant will be Pavle Ninkov (41), a former Crvena Zvezda player who is at the start of his coaching career.
GOAL: THE UPPER HALF OF THE TABLE
IMT finished the previous season in ninth place and competed in the play-outs. With the new coaching staff, the club wants to take a step forward and spend the 2026/27 season in the upper half of the Super League table.
"Popović has rich experience, clear ideas and a winning character," the club said on the occasion of the appointment.
We wish the coaching staff and the whole team every success in the new season.
